I have two novels I have been working on now. One the main character is Alice, the other Bella. From a couple people I have spoken to, it is not entirely crazy to experience this. Alice and I, well, we have had argument after argument over the years, we get so far and we come to a cross road. She desires one path that is dark, gloomy, and covered in trees and thorn bushes. Me on the other hand, I choose a path that might take me a little longer, but will get me to the same place without losing a limb. Being at another crossroad, I set Alice down for a little bit.
Now Bella, she is very special, she came out of nowhere and just enchanted me. I haven’t been able to stop for days with her. I think I am spent for the day, fingers sore from typing, brain exhausted from all the running around. I shut down the lap top and slip into bed in hopes of a decent nights rest. But Bella sees otherwise. She dances around in my head and doesn’t ever stop. So fresh and new to me, I have never had a character lead me like this. As much as I want to sleep, I cannot seem to shut myself off to her, I am dying to see how she gets to where she is going next in the book. I love my Bella, she is my light.
Don’t get me wrong now, I love Alice too. She is my dark horse so to speak. But when she and I go for the ride, she leaves me beaten and drained beyond anything I’ve ever known. But she knows, I always come back to her, she waits for the next round.
And then there is this. I have posted so little of my own, and only poetry so far. I do have some short stories and such to put on here too, but I gave them to my mentor to be edited first. I have heard from a few people already, saying they enjoy what I have put out there so far. This is a new world for me, I am humble and awed by peoples responses. Thank you all.

Welcome to our alternate universe. This is how it begins. First Darc and then the whole group. I have to go to the doctor, but I will be back! This is fascinating and I lovel novels, books, poetry and everything. Get yourself a flag counter. They’re free and you will be amazed how quickly you get around the globe. I haven’t had this much fun and connected with so many wonderful people in a long time.
I am all still way new at the blog world. I’ve been writing most all of my life though. Never shared the inner workings of me kind of writing before. But a good friend said that they really liked my stuff and I should start this up. Even helped me make it look all nice and how to work with it. I have 2 short stories I have to post, but working on editing them down before public eye. Heck, I’ve seen some of the work put out here and almost deleted my blog because I don’t think I can even stand up to all of this, but hey, it’s worth a shot to see what the real world thinks I suppose. And gives me a place to keep the work without taking up room else where, or getting lost, as so many pieces have already.
I just read The Soldier. You need to send it into an anti war publication. Elizabeth when you are good, you are good. When Bella and Alice dance in your head that’s cause for celebration. Think of the lives you will touch that you will never know and what difference you will have made in their lives because you put your insides to paper. These stories are priceless, don’t lose them.
